Each of us have a natural love for helping people as well as home decor. We have worked hard to build a unique company culture where all of our team feel like they have ownership over our business. With all of us working together to choose products, research trends and decorate our store, Design Therapy is ever changing and evolving to reflect our diverse perspectives and tastes.
Jenny has lived in the Comox Valley most of her life. She is grateful to her community for all the opportunities the Valley has to offer. Owning a business like Design Therapy allows her to give back to her community in many ways. She feels thankful for her amazing customers and staff that have helped make her business successful over the years.
Most of our customers know Todd as the smiling delivery guy. Although as a co-owner of Design Therapy, he spends most of his time in the back ground and doing deliveries & set up for our customers, during his spare time he is an avid golfer and mountain biker. He has competed in the BC Bike Race and currently serves on the Board of Directors for UROC (United Riders of Cumberland).
After working in fashion for over 20 years, Leah is passionate about colour, patterns and design aesthetics. So the move to home decor when she joined our team in 2015 felt like a natural progression to her. She specializes in building excellent relationships and trust with her clients. She loves seeing the results when she helps them furnish & accessorize their house, transforming it into a home that makes them love where they live.
Stephanie joined our team in January 2017 when she moved to the Comox Valley from Ontario. She is a great listener and loves all things colour. Her Fine Arts Degree enables her to apply learned compositional techniques to balance the elements in any space. Being a part of a military family, she has lots of experience with relocating and refurbishing a new home which gives her a unique perspective in helping her clients find the change they want to create.
Sabrina is our newest and youngest addition to our Design Therapy family. She says she has always had a desire for creating beautiful spaces. Recently she decided to pursue that desire and joined our team. She loves that her new job allows her to continuously learn about design and trending styles. She enjoys getting to know everyone’s personalities and helping them find the furniture that makes their home perfect.
Amanda has been a member of our team since 2010. She can best be described as the glue that holds us together and we don’t know what we would do without her. She manages all ordering and receiving of inventory, including our customers’ custom orders. She is an expert on our suppliers and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to product knowledge. We are also fortunate to carry Kastawayz Art made by Amanda and her husband. Read more about her art here.
Since joining our team in 2007, Kim has worked in many areas of the store. From the front line; getting to know our customers, to the back room; unpacking the new treasures for our store. She especially loves linens and have a vast collection of her own. Kim says the thing she loves most about her job is that each day at Design Therapy is unique and entertaining. “I enjoy the light and fun atmosphere with my workmates”.
Kimberly has been with our team since early 2017. Combining her degree in Interior Design and her amazing organizational skills, she has found her niche in many parts of our operations. She specializes in colour and has a painting & consultation company in her spare time.
